Ive added you to my blog watch list and will watch out for your progress Re: How long is too long? 22Apr 10, 2013 11:14 pm Hi everyone, I came to this forum to look for some feedback about Elderton...im not sure if other builders are the same, but it feels that with Elderton a lot of inclusions are not very good...who uses laminate benchtops for bathroom anymore these days? And perhaps due to their small company size, the variety they have for finishes are rather limited...starting to regret building with them though its still early days so hopefully they'll change our minds along the way! Re: How long is too long? 24Apr 11, 2013 5:15 am i have noticed alot of builders using laminate in bathrooms it is an upgrade for stone Re: How long is too long? 25Apr 11, 2013 6:09 am Hi Fievel. Our build is now complete and we have been in for a few months, and we haven't regretted for a second building with Elderton. Like everyone says, the stone bench tops are an upgrade. If you're not too far along, you should be able to upgrade still. From memory, it's not a huge expense. Good luck with the build - Elderton is fantastic in my opinion. Slow in the pre build stages, but once it gets going, time will fly by. Re: How long is too long? 26Apr 12, 2013 6:44 pm Hi Fievel I can confirm Beechwood and Clarendon also use laminate vanities unless you upgrade. I would consider upgrading to stone if I build with Elderton. It is standard with MDJ homes. I wonder what they charge? How far along are you in the process?
