So exciting, there are lots of houses going up on our block now! My slab went down and frame up in about 2 weeks. Where abouts are you building? Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 105Oct 19, 2013 6:16 pm BefuB We are on Argent St. That's really quick! I hope they begin on our frame this week then. Hows your construction coming along? Noticed HEAPS in the area. So much buzz around. Loving it. Can't wait to move in. Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 106Oct 20, 2013 10:27 am We have a frame and our roof tiles and the bricks were delivered this week! How is yours going? When did yours start? We are pretty impressed we have got this far in 6 weeks. We have no idea when we will be moving in but we are hoping February? It's at lock up stage now with only bits and bobs left to do. Don't know if they have laid the carpet yet. Should be moving either this month or next Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 109Oct 20, 2013 11:21 am BefuB Oh that's so exciting!! So roughly 4 months for you? Who are you building with? Nice and quick Company called vogue. Just wanting the process to hurry up since I bought land a year ago and took 9 months to register! Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 110Oct 20, 2013 11:29 am Ugh that's annoying. We seemed to have bought the land just at the right time, it registered 2 days before we settled on the purchase. I hope the rest of it goes quickly for you =) Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 112Nov 25, 2013 2:47 pm Hey!! Things going well. Everything is pretty much done apart from electrical stuff ;which will occur closer to moving in. We have asked for a few things to be fixed, so waiting on that. We are waiting on confirmation of our walk through to occur this Friday. We have been told that we should be in by Christmas, but I'm not going to get my hopes up as have heard there is a lot if stuff that needs to happen with the bank and council before we get keys. Do you know much about that?? I drove past your place over weekend, looking good!!! Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 113Nov 27, 2013 1:44 pm Hi DenBer, Hope all goes well with the walk through on Friday and getting things fixed up. I think we maybe have a lot things to fix on our place as well. We seem to have problems with every stage of our build. What sort of things do you need to sort out with council??. We are getting so much conflicting information about things and don't know who to believe. Just got a rude shock last week when Costa's wanted another $600 to connect power, would have thought that was included with the build. Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 115Dec 06, 2013 7:44 pm Hey sorry I didn't see your earlier post. Yes we got the $600 bill too for connection of electricity :/ We have had to wait for the valuator to go through the house and issue certificate. The cert getting passed to bank who will then issue us with cheque to settle with builder. Walk through was ok but there are a fair few things we have asked them to fix. They were supposed to have done by today (7days) but I went passed today and hasn't been fixed :/ How's your place going? Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 116Dec 07, 2013 1:45 pm I've learnt not to expect too much from this builder. Its been a very long and painful build for us. We have had major hiccups in every stage of the build. Latest been wrong moroka paint and eaves. Our walk through is Friday next week, so they better get cracking cause there is still a lot for them to do. I am sure after our walk through we will have plenty of blue stickers in place for them to fix. Did you get a driveway with the build or you doing it yourself?? We didn't get the driveway so trying to get quotes at the moment. Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 117Dec 14, 2013 12:57 pm Hey DenBer, we had our inspection yesterday and there was plenty for them to fix. Mostly cosmetic but a few major things. With luck we may get keys before they close for Christmas. I noticed your protective fence is gone. Does that mean you guys have keys and moving in soon?? Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 118Feb 11, 2014 7:20 am hammo4- I have only just seen your post!! As you may have already seen we are in and moved in after Christmas. That's not to say without any issues from Beechwood!!! Your also in I see.. How's it all going?? We still are waiting for B/w to come and fix things and follow up on a lot of stuff Re: ANYONE BUILDING AT EAST VILLAGE, SPRING FARM? 119Feb 11, 2014 3:14 pm Hello All I am building with Beechwood in Southern Highlands NSW, any way for this that are building with Beechwood there is a forum going on here it's called "Who is building with Beechwood".
