Are you at Pre-start or waiting on contracts? I am confused! Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 62Nov 21, 2012 3:03 pm I am confused as well LOL I had a pdf doc for the elevation and used the snipping tool to save as a jpg. We have signed an initial contract but waiting on all the variations to come in so we can sign proper contracts (I think!) Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 63Nov 21, 2012 3:17 pm So have you done structural variations at Pre-Start/after contract for bank signed? Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 64Nov 22, 2012 12:05 pm Got no idea what that means so I am guessing NOPE LOL Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 66Nov 22, 2012 12:53 pm just realised that our back kitchen bench caeserstone are 20mm but the island bench is 40mm. is this going to look weird? Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 67Dec 03, 2012 11:05 am well still not much happening. I had to advise Fred of all the stuff we are supplying and give him the technical specs etc of everything. I am hoping there is nothing left now and we can get moving. I emailed him last week to see if he needs anything else from me but no reply. At least we have booked prestart for 17th December woohoo Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 68Dec 03, 2012 2:24 pm 3 day after us! I think your ceaserstone will look okay. Are ventura doing that or outside contractor? Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 69Dec 03, 2012 6:00 pm auds just realised that our back kitchen bench caeserstone are 20mm but the island bench is 40mm. is this going to look weird? Do you mean on back of the bench,40mm provides extra strength to the bench-tops,using 40mm on the back of the bench would be a waste of money as its only for cosmetic's. They are doing everything except I will be supplying my own ovens etc and taps. I also bought my laundry sink and the bbq sink. Kerry-Ann what I mean is the main bench is going to be 20mm while the island bench (totally separate) will be 40mm - hope that explains it a bit better Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 71Dec 04, 2012 10:45 am Ok i got ya Why the difference i like things to be the same but thats me We had a quote from Ventura to do essa stone (a pebble or stone sortta one) it was more than our quote for granite,so no brainer, went with the granite through kitchen & wet area's Oh i think it was new bas...... something Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! To be honest I didnt notice the 40mm was only on the island. I guess if we change it - it will cost more $$$. I think we will just leave it - as we are waaaaaaaayyy over budget already Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 73Dec 04, 2012 11:31 am Ok,havent seen it,i know nothing about colour n such designers do the fit out etc so it must be nice. We have prestart next Monday and I forgot I am supposed to meet up with V's designer to go through colours etc before prestart., I text Fred on Sunday but still havent heard anything back. I know we had a lot to go through and we changed things here and there but it seems to be taking forever. Nearly 4 and a half months since we signed up with V. I am hoping once we finalise the plans/contract etc things go full steam ahead and we dont have too many hold ups. On a brighter note I have chosen some of my colours etc Roof - Colorbond Jasper REnder - Dune Feature stonework - Trimview PB 1120 cladding Driveway aggregate - Hanson Checkerboard Alfresco aggregate - Hanson Oyster cream Doors and windows - black Bathroom wall tiles - Agatha White Bathroom floor tiles - Palatino Flax (light grey) Anyway time to go to work - will try and post more later and hopefully a few pics Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 75Dec 11, 2012 10:52 am It all sounds GORGEOUS,lovely picks n colours ,we have jasper colourbond roof too, just love it Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I was hoping she could help. We had decided on a light grey mottled tile to go with the white caeserstone and white cupboards. We stayed in a hotel for 2 nights in Perth this week and I am sure they have the same tiles on the floor with a white wall tile. I didnt really like it Now back to square one picking floor tiles and I really needed an experts help I was thinking white floor tiles but thats not very practical. Dark grey or charcoal might look too stark with all the white. arghhhhhhh Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 77Dec 13, 2012 6:12 pm I'm doing Crosby tiles. I think my floor tiles are 'smoke concrete' with gloss white wall tiles & graphite vanity Re: Building a custom home with Ventura in Busselton 78Dec 14, 2012 10:35 am We went chocolate floor tiles & white wall, love it,go with what "you" love! If you are worried & really need help i would put the pre-start back, nothing is going to get done over the holidays so you wont loose anytime really. Go with how you feel!! If you dont feel ready for prestart dont go yet.
