Browse Forums Building A New House Re: We're on our way..... 3Mar 27, 2008 8:03 pm Well, we called our site supervisor on Monday, and he said he would get it moved. Tonight, I called into the estate on my way home and the guy was actually there loading our frame onto the truck. I tried to keep a discreet distance and watch the proceedings. It was pretty alarming watching our 'house' swinging in the breeze, several metres up!!!!
I couldn't stay the whole time, as he was taking forever, but popped back in just as it was getting dark. So, yes the frame is now within our lot, although to get it in there, he just took down a piece of the fencing and left it there (grrrr) so much for security, particularly as the windows were delivered today. My main concern, however, is the unidentified piece of BROKEN wood that was left on the other lot. It's definitely from our stuff and broken/snapped from impact, but I'm not sure if it is part of the frame or some packing wood - it's pretty rough and the frame appears to be a smoother finish - I just don't know. Anyway, that piece of wood is now sitting on my dining room table - I took it just in case they had any ideas about a quick glue job and I've sent a text message to the site supervisor.............. *sigh* why does it have to be so stressful?!
