Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 05, 2012 2:44 am Hi, We are are being told by fence company that we cant have paling side on our Rhs. All the way up our street, paling side is on Rhs. Each and everyone of these fences are built on retaining walls. Ours will be built on retaining wall with max height being around 900mm. Our fencer is making out he needs to do this due to regulations that state he has to have rails on our side as the will be a climb hazard he other way. I have searched everywhere and cannot find any codes or regulations in regards to this. Only mention is in way of pool fencing which this is not. It seems fencer is just being lazy as doing palings on other side of fence means he works from ground height. Can anyone confirm if there are any rules about paling and railings and climb hazards in NSW?
