Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 04, 2012 5:18 pm Hi Everyone Just thought I would start a thread for my new home build. I am building on a small battleaxe block in Inglewood in WA. Was searching for land late last year and stumbled across this block..although small, was in an area that appealled to me...lots of friends living close by. As I am single (and gay..lol!)I was not looking for a big place and this block and area suited me to the gound. I needed something manageable that was not small like an apartment and at the same time, not too large like a family home. I am away from home a lot as I work in aviation, so I needed a 'lock up and leave' place! As I am building in a heritage precinct, ceilings have to be 35c high and exposed eaves are required on the front elevation...which equals expensive, but I am sure will look great when finished! I will post a plan shortly! When does your build actually start do you know yet?? Re: Building in Inglewood - Gemmill Homes 11Aug 05, 2012 10:10 am Your link now works. If you actually want your plan to show in this thread though you would have to grab a screen shot of the acrobat.com page and upload it to photobucket , facebook, flicker etc. A photosharing site then place the link here. The plans are just about to go to a building surveyor(apparantly the builder said it is quicker to get it approved with the new building approval process) and then on to council.
