Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 02, 2012 6:50 pm Hi all. We too are building in Armstrong Creek. We ( Barnaby and Aimee ) secured a block in the first land release about 2 years ago. I am also the owner and manager of Armstrong Creek Landscaping. I was reading through all the posts and saw that some of you were asking about the design guidelines. I also saw a post from Ainslee ( Hi Ainslee! ) in regards to me providing a quote for her landscaping. I have spoken with the design board and what they want us to do is use the guidelines from Warralily Coast for the front landscaping. It has to include allowed plantings much the same as places like The Quay and The Sands and other large developments. Only catch is they told me that we all have to have a mid to large size tree in the front yard somewhere but I have told them I don't want one. They then told me they will consider the landscape plan without one if you really don't want it. I have done my plan front and back and am just waiting for it to be accepted without the front tree. I hope you all don't mind me doing this but if you would like to look at my website it is www.uclandscapes.com.au. Lots of photos etc. on there and info about me and the business - or you can also just google us and go to the website that way. We have met some of our neighbours to be and they were fantastic people and it seems that everyone we speak to who has secured a block or is already building there are really nice so we look forward to some fun and exciting times with you all! Hopefully I can be of service to those of you looking to have your landscaping professionally done or at least give sound advice to those of you who may do it yourselves! Cheers - Barnaby. Re: Armstrong Creek Landscaping 2Aug 02, 2012 9:09 pm Just had a look at ur website, beautiful work, will definatley give you a call when were up to Landscaping. Re: Armstrong Creek Landscaping 3Aug 02, 2012 10:30 pm In reality, they'll let you do whatever you like. I built / sold and house in The Quay, there was a huge variety of plantings in there. Most guidelines suggest natives in the front... What people actually choose to do is another story. They certainly don't come after you no matter what. The landscape guidelines are all a bit of a beat up to be honest. Re: Armstrong Creek Landscaping 4Aug 03, 2012 6:39 am The landscaping guidelines are a bit of a joke I agree but I you want the $5000 rebate then you have to stick to them in some degree in order to have your design approved. Once you have the cheque though you can change anything you like. Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 7784 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35191 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13595 |
