We grabbed a copy of the "things you forget" check-list so will be using that a fair bit as it is our first time building. I am curious to know just how much people had in writing at each stage - I had a reasonably detailed PCQ but no idea really whether that was more/less than other builders. A lot of things were fobbed off as being pre-start activities but just wondering whether that results in plenty of costs with very little leverage.
For those who recognise the Frappe display home our plans are a very customised version:

The sort of detail that makes me feel a bit unsure is the fact that North is pointing to the side of the block. Most of the blocks in Rivervale are NE/SW in a grid - so the North is actually NW, with the front of our block being NE facing. It is a minor detail but when you have a survey in front of you (or even if you don't, Google maps isn't hard to use), it seems like a fairly trivial thing to overlook.
I have setup a blog at http://rivervale.tumblr.com/ to document as I go. Will get some photos up eventually but too many things todo and not enough time to do them in
