Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 10, 2012 5:48 pm Hi everyone
So 2 years ago now we bought a house with the intention of knocking it down and rebuilding something nice. Life happened, and we're just getting around to kicking off the process now. We'd like to get an architect on board as we want the place to be a bit unique, plus draw on the architect's experience with regards to funky ideas and the like. We have a general idea of what we want, but really nothing super specific so we're quite open to ideas from a professional. So, is Archicentre a good option for this? I know they have the design service where they pop out for $3500 or so and you end up with sketches that you can then use to progress. Ideally we'd want someone to project manage the whole process so that we don't end up getting a divorce, but I expect that also comes with a hefty cost so we'll need to weigh all that up. Just hoping someone can offer some suggestions if you've been through something similar. Thanks!!!!!
