Is the colour in your family room called Mountain Blue? We had that in our old house and it looks really similar. I love the bricks you've chosen too, and what is your benchtop? Is is laminex? The windows in the play room are so gorgeous. Re: Building with Beechwood in the Hunter Valley 145Nov 27, 2012 5:40 am busybusy It looks lovely! Feature walls always look stark until everything is around them, but it will all tie together eventually! Benchtope is essastone. Its a newish colour called crystal salt. Pics of it are terrible, I was rushing to get to the school bus! Playroom and office will have plantation shutters, I like them too ) Build Again I have a thread, feel free to read! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57912 Re: Building with Beechwood in the Hunter Valley 146Nov 27, 2012 6:59 am Wow! Love it all! What are the colours in the playroom and your room? Could we have a closer look at the light in the entry please? So in love with your kitchen!! White with a black wall is my dream! I'll have to look for your selections to see more info. Just emailed our builder for a quote to upgrade my zucchero freestyle laminex to essastone crystal salt I'd also love to see a close up of the light fitting. It's really unusual. Re: Building with Beechwood in the Hunter Valley 148Nov 27, 2012 9:43 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Its detroit from Beacon. Only about $200(?). Playroom wall is monument (will have plantation shutters in windows). Our bedroom is a mix. I bought a paint- Solar Eclipse- but it was way too dark, so I mixed it with white till I got what I wanted. I mixed the lounge wall with black to make it deeper lol. Never happy haha. PS sorry I cost you money busy busy!! It was a 'standard' price stone benchtop with beechwood. I think it was about $4000-$5000 (from standard laminate, not freestyle. Also, It's a big bench- would have been cheaper without breakfast bar, as I upgraded to that. It started out completely different and it's morphed into a monster lol I really like the contrast you have in your kitchen, I googled that essastone last night and it's such a beautiful colour. Love my black viewscreen blinds, which are sheer through the day, but reflective at night from outside so we still have privacy (in case the cows or the roos are looking!). Tiling is to start tomorrow, and my bathrooms should be done before Chrissy, when we will lay the floors! So close now! Still awaiting the white glass splashback though, apparently it's going to be installed next Friday, but I won't hold my breath! So we have released our final payment, and just have the last few things to be fixed up by beechwood- they were listed in our walk-through last friday. I trust our SS to do everything he says he will. He has been very patient, and I don't doubt his integrity at all. And if I'm wrong my sister's a lawyer, and I can be very annoying!! But jokes aside, I think we will keep using construction key till the last few bits and pieces are sorted. We are all insured etc now, but aren't moving till after we do our floor which arrives next week. Hows things with you? Re: Building with Beechwood in the Hunter Valley 160Dec 10, 2012 5:29 am serenityf Hey Buildagain, just wondering where did you get those blinds from? they look really good, do they block out much light? because we wanted to use them thru our house on our sliding doors and also our theatre rooms .. any help would be much appreciated !! not much light at all serenity. Cut out the glare- like you were in the shade sort of??!! But pretty much see through. They are reasonably private if you are on the outside looking in, though. I bought them through cheapa blinds (online store). They were great value (cheaper than ecowood venetians). Had them in under a fortnight, and all were perfect fit.
