Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Wallpaper 782May 10, 2013 3:54 pm I'll take photo of mine for you when I get home if you like. I'll have to measure how far sticks out since we have same kitchen. Although I think between my stove and island is more narrow as house was made narrower for the lot Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Wallpaper 784May 10, 2013 5:17 pm Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 788May 11, 2013 5:38 pm Well Commodore Homes you have done it again. The antenna man came today to install an aerial on the roof noticed a Tile missing and with the recent down pour here are the results. Electrical socket is currently not working hope it works again once it dry's out. Don't have any spare tiles to replace to vacant tile. Thanks Commodore Homes you guys are brilliant! The buggers left us piles of them. Not cool! Perhaps do a drive around see if you can find some spares at someone else's site? Hubby says is the tile completely missing? As we noticed solar people had slide couple up and had pull them back down. Just a thought Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 790May 11, 2013 7:01 pm I have not been up on the roof yet to check, but the antenna guy replaced one on the edge of the house cause it would do less damage there and put it the original missing tiles spot. For us. I am sure he would of had a look around on the roof while putting the antenna up before removing and old one into that position. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 791May 12, 2013 12:19 pm That is not the thing you would expect to find, sorry to read this Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 792May 12, 2013 1:33 pm Bl00dy he'll AC! Are you going to get commodore to come back and fix up the water marks and mildew, and why can't you ask them to replace the missing tile? I got a quote for liquid limestone, just to see if it was in our price range - as you know we're nowhere near that stage yet, so I don't know if they're any good. It was $60 per square metre including a colour, fitting and sealing. If you're interested i can find the name of the company for you. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 793May 12, 2013 10:48 pm Cheers Mandy67 let us know of the company, I am not sure what Commodore Homes will do. I posted the pic on their facebook site and emailed them. I have been moving all day hired a truck from Budget they tell you to fill the truck back up, went to the closest place near them for maximum full tank. The roof scrape the top of the shell garage and took paint off the I-Beam and I thought we were going to be stuck and unable to get out!!!! The old house still has heaps of junk left in it going to get a skip bin and we still have to unpack all the boxes at new houses, anyway I am heading to the new house now, just at old house picking up the dog. Got to put the bed together now and go to sleep. It's been a full on day especially with a Toddler to watch, (she hit her head 4 times and fell off the truck, father of the year award). Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 794May 12, 2013 11:02 pm We moved with an almost 2yr old. Was nightmare, lots of bumps. Sounds like a really tough day Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 795May 12, 2013 11:44 pm Aw, lol AC, you don't have a lot of luck do you?! http://www.liquidlimestoneperth.com.au/pricing.htm This is where I got the quote from (I rang to check the info on website was right as I thought it sounded quite cheap). As I say, can't recommend them as such as I haven't used them. Hope you sleep well tonight. I hope the bed doesn't fall apart, lol! Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 796May 13, 2013 8:10 am Had the worst night sleep. Daughter was scared, of sleeping in the new environment. Because I took the dog to the house late. He wasnt settled in either and was constantly roaming around. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 797May 13, 2013 10:00 am First couple weeks are hard til everyone settles. Hope you get some decent sleep soon Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 798May 22, 2013 3:48 pm Hi all , I have been catching up with your posts , we just bought a Land in Whiteman edge , Titled about about 3 weeks ago and thinking of building with Commodore Homes . I know some are building through Commodore and not happy with them but they assured me they have changed the direction of the company which is more customer oriented any suggestions .. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Roof Leak No Tile! 799May 22, 2013 4:19 pm From what I've been reading i wouldn't touch them guneet, and really they are bound to tell you what you want to hear. But i have no first-hand experience of them. There are so many builders to choose from personally i would go simewhere else. They all have fairly similar plans too, so if it's the plan that attracts you to commodite i would keep looking around and you will probably find someone with a better reputation that can meet your needs. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5179 Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build.
