Tried for so long to find a second hand one in white but had no luck finding one within our budget so black it is. We are getting black curtains in there, I hope it won't make the whole room dark and depressing. I'm now technically ready for our landscaping consult so will spend tonight researching exactly what I want. It is hard to dedicate my time to house stuff now that we've got our fibre optic Internet. I can download tons of movies in minutes. We got the cheapest deal, $80 a month for 30mbps. It's fast enough, can't even imagine what 100mbps would be like. THey are premade but sewed to size, if that makes sense. Anyway they made them too short, so installer took them back with him and they will be resolving it somehow. But they looked terrible anyway! The fabric looked quite cheap, I really wasn't impressed at all. I just want a full refund, does anyone know if I can actually get a refund? I don't want to wait any longer while they fix it, I've already waited ages, and tbh I just want to go and buy some cheapo ones from Big W. All I've heard is bad reviews lately, wish I'd heard before I'd signed up. I've only paid the deposit, but it's still $500. Kicking myself. I did get quote from them... ended up choosing someone else and paid deposit. My current house is ABC blinds through builder. Some touch floor, some don't etc Re: My Dreamhome with Goodlife ABC Blinds Curtain disaster 333Jun 04, 2013 7:32 pm hey turtle your place is looking amazing !!! i LOVE the entrance!!! its horrible to hear about your experience with ABC.... we got some blockouts from spotlight.. pre made... we will hang them oursleves.. but they can be cut to fit... great quality tho ... and i have actually seen the same brand in BIG W! so maybe BIG W is not such a bad choice after all... they are actually quite simple to install ! Re: My Dreamhome with Goodlife ABC Blinds Curtain disaster 334Jun 04, 2013 7:34 pm Sorry to hear you didn't get what you were expecting Surely if they have stuffed up you have the choice of a refund before they "fix" it? Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: My Dreamhome with Goodlife ABC Blinds Curtain disaster 335Jun 04, 2013 8:03 pm I really hope I can get the refund. I think I'll have to put my foot down to get it. The stupid thing is I was actually gonna pay the rest on a voucher that I bought! So ill have to get something from them regardless and it'll be a waste anyway coz ill just get verticals for laundry or something that I can probably buy premade cheaply anywhere.
