I dropped by my block yesterday just to see that nothing had been dumped on it, etc, as I expect works to start 'soon' - and when there saw that the block behind has now started construction. Fences weren't up when I was last there (2 weeks ago?), and while out there they were pouring the slab for that house.
One thing I noticed though - where they've cut the location for the slab to be poured, as it's been raining a bit, was totally filled with water - yet still having concrete poured. We're talking about maybe 10-15cm deep of water.
Is that normal?
I thought they couldn't do much if it was wet, but these guys seemed to be happily wading around in gumboots. So how much water/rain is enough to actually stop work going ahead?
