Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 87Aug 31, 2012 10:23 am Hi Philamon Thanks for all the info. We are excited about our presentation. Was there much of a difference with the quotes that you got from the sales rep and the final presentation? We have already got a few things added when we met our sales rep. Things like sliding door for ensuite, bigger front door, mirror robes for all the other 3 bedrooms, and a few more things. How are you going with the bank? Did you get your loan approved? Was it undervalued again? Just for the info how much did you have taken out for the floor and carpet? We are also thinking of exploring the option of getting wooden floor instead of the tiles. But it all depends on how much they finally take off from the quotes. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 89Aug 31, 2012 11:50 am we didnt get any quotes from the sales rep, just the list of display house inclusions. they took out $6300 for flooring and carpet. bank continues to value our land at $10,000 less than what we need to pay. i think its due to the sustainability/landscaping rebates of $10K. good news is BankWest will loan us 95% of the amount, we are going with them. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 90Aug 31, 2012 12:07 pm dats a great news. Looks like things a moving ahead for you. Good Luck with everything? We are also thinking of getting the flooring done after handover. Depends on the quotes that we get from outside and the deduction from Eden Brae. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 91Sep 02, 2012 9:37 am Hi Guys Has anyone upgraded their facade? We have RIVIERA included in our plan? We were thinking of upgrading it to BARWON. This is what they have at their display home. This facade cost us $3000 more. Just thinking is it worth the money or should we spead this money elsewhere. Got our presentation tomorrow. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 92Sep 02, 2012 7:08 pm yes, I upgraded the facade to provide a balcony as I will live across from the reserve. The facade also provided some of the material variations that were required by Bunya. You will never see the facade while living inside your home, but you will see it every time you come home and if it looks good you will feel welcome every time. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 96Sep 05, 2012 11:12 am I will have a H1 class slab. they have not quoted me extra for piering but it is noted that depending on the location and depth of the sewer line, it may be required. (my sewer line is at the front) Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 97Sep 05, 2012 1:02 pm buda Did anyone have to pay extra for piering because you were building too close to the sewer line? Yes, we had to increase the slab by 200mm due to the fall in the sewer, extra $7.5K. We are not in Bunya but building with W, I assume the costs would be similar if you needed to do the same as us.
