After signing our building contract in mid-August, we have finally got to a point where Wisdom have booked us in to do our colour & landscaping appointments all in the same day next week. My only concern is that I have Moroka around my garage so I'm not too sure whether a 'Timber Tone' garage door will look as good. I'm going to try and upload some snapshots of my plans to gauge your opinions. I would have much preferred to use face brick. We are also tossing up between PGH Chocolatto and Espresso bricks. Awesome news. FYI, your colour appointment will likely take more than 4 hours. I'm surprised your externals and landscape have not been done already considering you have signed the building contract. To get the final DRP approval they only need the External Colours and Landscape plan. If you can decide on that before your appointment I would advise that so they can get the final DRP approval done before worrying about internal stuff that will jsut delay everything. We were told it will take 2 hours for Colours and 1.5 hours for Landscaping. All the other appointments will be scheduled after these 2 appointments. My partner and I are travelling to India for a 2 week holiday in November so we'll need to do all of our other appointments after returning back to Australia. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3480Oct 16, 2013 6:15 pm Whytee twannie bumblebees It doesn't actually say you have to have both but there are loads of things that aren't in the guideline that Linc still insists on. He uses "aesthetics" as his catch all. For example, it specifically says that window hoods on the western front are not useful but Linc insisted we have them for aesthetics. He will probably say the same for hedges. Linc said something yesterday that I thought defined the whole process with the DRP. He said 'if you drive around the estate, you'll see there's a certain conformity'. I replied that that was a very appropriate word. And I thought it's good to ensure everyone's place looks nice and decent but if everyone has the same nice everyone's becomes a lot less nice... Agree entirely!!!! The fact I have to plant SPECIFIC native plants and where is stupid! All of our lots will look the same and that is only at the start, some of these so called 'conforming plants' if left to their own devices will look horrible in years to come. And I can guaruntee by planting them we will not be reintroducing the habitat that had to be moved on for our houses to be built. What the builders seem to offer as an incentive on sign up is actually a trap. (Free landscape plan) They do the Landscape design as per their liking (Bunya guidelines can definitely accommodate our likes), the plants are also as per their whims and fancies (lots of choice in Oz plants too) Do we have an opportunity to change the plants etc ? I do not know I had a few ideas regards the landscaping, which we can discuss during next meet at Bunya Have we decided on a date ? Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 25660 As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining… 0 18580 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 10624 |
