Rosey there is no requirement to have landscaping done by your builder. You only need to design your garden to meet DRP's requirements to get the landscaping rebate. The other rebate should not be related. We did our own landscape plan with what we wanted got it approved by DRP and will implement it ourselves after we move in. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3434Oct 15, 2013 5:45 pm I'm glad there was a positive response to a community driven website/forum. I will setup something preliminary in the mean time to get the discussion flowing and free up this single thread page. Having been involved in this sort of thing in the past it is important not to over commit, to keep it simple and make sure it is useful. I love the idea of a very small yearly membership fee with the pool going directly to costs and funding bbq's, etc. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3435Oct 15, 2013 7:46 pm I think initially it should be free. I would be happy to pay an amount towards a specific event (eg money collected on the day of a bbq) but would be less inclined so sign up as a member for a year with no real gaurentee of where the money would go or whether I would even be able to attend the event I was paying for. Just a thought. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3436Oct 15, 2013 8:32 pm bumblebees I think initially it should be free. Oh, it would definitely be free to join and participate. It should be as inclusive and friendly as possible. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3437Oct 15, 2013 11:06 pm I have a question regarding deleting items which have been included in the Tender. We have signed our building contract with CH and is it possible to withdraw some items that we added in the tender? i.e, we paid $1k to upgrade our appliances (cooktop, oven, rangehood and dishwasher) to Smeg from their promotion offered at The PONDS new display homes. Any reviews on Technika appliances that CH offered and any suggestions for a good double oven? @Whytee, I remembered i read in this forum that you upgrade your appliances to Smeg cooktop and oven, how much do you pay for the upgrades. How about your rangehood and dishwasher? Did you take the $4,880 promotion with CH which includes Technika appliances? I am wonder whether it is worth it to take the $3,880 promotion (lifestyle promotion for 11m frontage) then pay an extra $1K to upgrade the appliances to Smeg brands. Thank you. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3439Oct 15, 2013 11:31 pm Whytee Iankun, I'll see if this works, below is the link to a pic of my garage: http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/3389/f0w4.jpg Looks really good Whytee. I saw your front door, it looked nice...is it the wrong one still ? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 3440Oct 15, 2013 11:32 pm buda There is a safety warning regarding INFINITY power cables failing over time when exposed to high temperatures. Might be worth checking you don't have it in your home. http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/About_us/News_and_events/Media_releases/2013_media_releases/20130927_public_warning_infinity_brand.page?DCSext.ref=HomePageClick:ScamandAlerts Is CH using these cables ? Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you.
