Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build 2Jun 28, 2012 9:38 pm I like your blue volga. Good luck with the build @builderforlife Building inspector and passionate about construction When you need an expert to take a look. Re: Plucka's Build 3Jul 04, 2012 2:16 pm Council Approval at last, should be starting soon. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build 4Jul 04, 2012 2:30 pm Looks good Plucka - glad to see you also got your NMI number for solar power. Do you plan on having stained timber panels in your gables? Just from my experience I had stained timber gables and it was an absolute nightmare getting up on the roof every 9-12 months to recoat. If you don't (and a lot of people in our estate didn't) it looks terrible and brings the whole front facade down. You can get a 'timber look' aluminum product that doesn't fade as an alternative which might make future upkeep easier. Re: Plucka's Build 5Jul 04, 2012 2:56 pm Yeah was going to getting timber, being single story on the front I didn't think it would be too much trouble to recoat once a year, but might look into the timber look stuff. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build 8Aug 07, 2012 7:10 am atom_ute Great to see stuff finally happening! By the way - what's the slope from front to back? The pictures make it looks like there is a massive drop at the front! Total slope is about 5m front to back. The bulldozer is where the garage will be and marks the level of the upper story. Only the garage and lower level on slab with most of the house on piers. Good to see your footings done, hope to get mine done next week. Fingers crossed for a finish before Xmas and will be interesting to see which one of us finishes first Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Footings Done 9Aug 17, 2012 9:55 am Footings: Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Footings Done 10Aug 25, 2012 2:19 pm Blocks/Bricks laid, Slab to be done next week. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Footings Done 11Aug 31, 2012 9:57 am Formed up for slab: Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Slab Done 13Aug 31, 2012 11:12 am They poured mine this morning, done by 8:30 Pics to follow. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Slab Done 14Aug 31, 2012 12:16 pm I must have the world's slowest concreter - they started forming mine up on Monday which wasn't finished until lunchtime yesterday. This morning on my drive-by only the lower pad had been poured - still the middle section and top to go... When is the frame meant to be delivered? Re: Plucka's Build- Slab Done 15Aug 31, 2012 8:16 pm Yeah but I only have a lower pad and the garage slab so much less than you. Been advised framing starts in 1.5 weeks. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Slab Done 17Sep 15, 2012 3:48 pm Bit of a delay, no action this week but framing starting Monday. Time estimate from builder: Roof will be on in 3 weeks. This will be frame stage payment. Lockup stage in 6 weeks. Practical completion in 10 weeks. Handover in 16 weeks. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Slab Done 18Sep 21, 2012 3:44 pm Lower Floor Frame: Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Plucka's Build- Frame Started 19Sep 23, 2012 12:11 pm Plucka you have an amazing view there.
