Mrs B Re: PD - Changes to plan 22Mar 17, 2008 4:08 pm Hi haywgl,
we have chosen the Arlington facade with Render to the Balcony only. the costs are included below: - Remove rebate to corner of study/master b'room $280 - Add doors to Study $379 - Add doors to Rumpus $379 We also made the alcove in the games room upstairs into a additional linen cupboard with shelves $590. We also added a nib wall at the end of the kitchen bench for ONLY $68! Here is the front view.. Thanks for your help - it is great to hear from someone who is building the same house Your facade looks great - I like the render to the balcony only - what colours have you chosen? I quite like the look of the Clifton facade - is there much difference in the cost of facades? DH loves eaves - so we will probably have them Those costs are quite reasonable - are the doors for the study/rumpus standard doors? I like the idea of making the alcove in the games room another closet - very smart! You can never have enough storage Can I be stupid and ask what a nib wall is Thanks again - your a great help Cheers Bel Re: PD - Changes to plan 25Mar 17, 2008 8:00 pm Hi teml,
We also changed the study doors and the rumpus to have solid doors. I can't believe that you have removed the corner recess to the house. We asked about it and we were told that it comes with the facade. I wanted to remove it but the extra cost to upgrade the facade was not worth it. For $280 it is worth the money. Good luck with the house. We are only extending the garage by 1.5 m as we realised that it is cheaper to put a shed as storage instead. Btw, can you let us know what is a nib wall. Re: PD - Changes to plan 27Mar 17, 2008 8:27 pm Can I ask which is the 'standard' facade and which are the most expensive ones for the Cremorne?
I quite like the simplistic look of the Clifton and the Sorrento in the drawings on the facade page, however, I also like the look of the Arlington, however, am worried it may be a little architecturally (for want of a better word?) different for our area...we are in an established area.... Am I corrent in assuming if even the drawings on the site have the majority of the house bricked and then the portico etc rendered that you stil have to pay extra for this section to be rendered? Thanks again guys Re: PD - Changes to plan 28Mar 17, 2008 8:34 pm haywgl Can I ask which is the 'standard' facade and which are the most expensive ones for the Cremorne? Thanks again guys Hi The standard facade for the Cremorne is Clifton. For all the rest of the facade, there is an additional charge. The cheapest of the rest is Arlington at $900 while the rest (if i remember correctly) ranges from $1000++ to $5000. Best to get the price list from the display homes and and ask for the facade price as well. For all the facade, the standard are all brick face (the drawing on the sales brochures are all rendered though) and you will have to pay extra for any render you want to add. Cheers Re: PD - Changes to plan 29Mar 17, 2008 8:38 pm Thanks Hysterical
Lucky I have cheap taste (DH will be happy I actually like the look of something 'standard') I think I will just stick with the Clifton as I can see my other exterior selections getting pretty costly - we will want eaves added, rendered portico, nice front entry door and possibly weatherboard cladding to the second story. Will ask for the brochures at tommorows visit (Btw do they just hand these out quite freely? I already have a s/c with PD however, I am yet to meet them yet and they won't b at the display I visit tommorow) Oh just thought of something - is the balcony from the master bedroom an extra - it does not appear on the Clifton facade or on some of the other facades.... Cheers Re: PD - Changes to plan 30Mar 17, 2008 9:06 pm haywgl Thanks Hysterical Lucky I have cheap taste (DH will be happy I actually like the look of something 'standard') I think I will just stick with the Clifton as I can see my other exterior selections getting pretty costly - we will want eaves added, rendered portico, nice front entry door and possibly weatherboard cladding to the second story. The doors we use is PMAD 104 as per below URL http://www.doors.com.au/products.php?grp=ext&rnge=pmad Not sure how much the weatherboard cladding to the 2nd floor cost though. Good luck Re: PD - Changes to plan 31Mar 17, 2008 10:14 pm Thanks Hysterical
The picture on the site didn't look like it had eaves - but I could be wrong, still not entirely sure what eaves look like If they are the things that extend out from the roof a bit further it didn't look like the pic had them but I could be wrong I got a real fright there and thought you meant the render to portico was 14,000 not 1400!!! I love those doors btw!! Your colour is gorgeous!! I'll have to put my thinking cap on and see what I like the look of, I like the idea of 2 doors with sidelights I actually had a second look at the Clifton facade and I quite liked the look of all brick which just the render to the portico So can scrap off the weatherboard cladding Thanks again Re: PD - Changes to plan 32Mar 17, 2008 10:32 pm Just had a second look at the PD website.
Clifton (standard) facade does not have eaves, but Arlington does comes with it. As for the front door, it is standard to have 2 doors and 2 sidelights. We were surprised initially when told the total price of the door upgrade, coz we were expecting to upgrade 1 door only! As for the color, we're choosing Woodland Grey Re: PD - Changes to plan 33Mar 18, 2008 7:21 am Quote: The picture on the site didn't look like it had eaves - but I could be wrong, still not entirely sure what eaves look like If they are the things that extend out from the roof a bit further it didn't look like the pic had them but I could be wrong Yes that is what eaves are Paula Re: PD - Changes to plan 34Mar 18, 2008 7:43 am Thanks guys
If thats the case I am probably better going the Arlington facade as it will be probably cheaper than upgrading the Clifton facade to have eaves (will check it out though) Thats a great price for the door/s!! I love Woodland Grey - your house sounds like it is going to be gorgeous- can't wait to see pics!! Re: PD - Changes to plan 35Mar 18, 2008 7:52 am A 'nib' wall, as PD call it, is just a small wall at the end of the bench as per the pic below. We used it to close off the kitchen bench area. Apparently a few clients have asked for this to be done.
[img][/img] BTW Hysterical, we too have chosen the PMAD 104 doors - they look great! Thanks, so that is what a "nib wall" is. Looks like both our houses have a few things in common.... Cheers Re: PD - Changes to plan 37Mar 18, 2008 8:45 am Thanks Teml - for $68 I think thats a great idea
You both have great choice in doors - I like it too I want my garage door in CB's Jasper and hope to get the door in the same/similiar colour Cheers Re: PD - Changes to plan 38Mar 18, 2008 8:57 am Hi haywgl,
We also added in a upright breakfast bench opposite the kitchen sink. This came with ceasarstone and glass splashback. Cost an extra $1200 approx. It will sit 20cm higher that the bench. The top is 30cm. So when we sit at the Dinner table you wont see any dishes. Re: PD - Changes to plan 39Mar 18, 2008 8:59 am haywgl Thanks Teml - for $68 I think thats a great idea You both have great choice in doors - I like it too I want my garage door in CB's Jasper and hope to get the door in the same/similiar colour Cheers Just to butt in....we have the jasper garage door and a PMAD 101 front door in jasper too! The colours match up really well! Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Re: PD - Changes to plan 40Mar 18, 2008 9:00 am Thanks Mike and Marita Sounds like a good idea - and not a bad cost either...
I want to upgrade the c/s from 20 to 40mm, and also add 20mm c/s to the bathroom/ensuite...I'm hoping PD can give me some idea of costs today but my s/c still hasn't rung me back to tell me which display he will be at... I have heard that once you have a s/c then the other s/c don't really want to deal with you, I'm hoping they will atleast give me the inclusions and extras cost lists Keep you all informed I engaged my builder in December last year and we’ve been working on preliminary drawings for last couple of months. I got a call from the salesperson this morning… 0 571 i thought the flipped plan initially but bec i want narrow pathway from entry to dining (dont like bend), also cannot fit the… 7 17284 5 10491 |
