They are so luxurious. I got this one at Beacon, its a "Lucci" and I am surprised how effective it is in taking the edge off the chill in the bathroom. I hope we don't get a shock when we get the electricity account but what the heck, its only for 10 minutes max per cold morning. Re: Our Cottage Block Build North of the River, Perth WA 304Aug 09, 2013 4:02 pm Right Summer...Bring It On!!!! Our new patio blinds on our alfresco are brilliant and it will give us an extra "fly proof" room in summer as well as keeping out the harsh glare of the setting summer sun which used to just about blind us. After much research we went for the rope and pulley models not only because they were quite a bit cheaper but because they are a lot stronger and tolerate the wind much better than the ones with a track. These one have heavy duty zips down the side and lock into place at the bottom so are very strong. There is also the benefit of being able to see out but not in so if privacy is an issue (not with us) then these will do the job well. Did you get them measured and fitted? or are they off the shelf? Hi Enelya, We are very pleased with the outcome, unfortunately the standard sizes from Bunnings didn't fit so we had to get them custom made. Maybe that's just as well as sometimes the quality of the off the shelf ones can be a not so good, these are high quality and as always, piece of mind comes at a price. If you are thinking of fitting similar blinds, remember they need to be fitted to something and if you don't have a beam you will have to fit some patio tubing, I did it myself and its easy costing less than $80, the best price I could find was at Aussie fencing and they will cut the tubing to size. It's exciting to see builds completed to remind us of what we are aiming for I agree though it's a very complicated process in that you cant wait for the build to be finished while its under construction but once its been completed you miss the excitement of watching it progress . We are at the stage where we just need a security door on the front entrance and then our home will finally be finished, having seen the price of these doors (clear screen type) it may be a while before we reach that stage. Re: Our Cottage Block Build North of the River, Perth WA 315Aug 11, 2013 6:10 pm Thanks john you have given us a great idea we need to find a company that does the blinds Re: Our Cottage Block Build North of the River, Perth WA 316Oct 02, 2013 3:25 pm Can anyone advise me as whether it is compulsory to have a window that opens in a bedroom ?, it does have a fixed panel sliding door and a non opening "hi light" window. I would appreciate it if anyone can answer this question. Re: Our Cottage Block Build North of the River, Perth WA 317Oct 02, 2013 10:43 pm Sorry can't help there John... Any particular reason? I think I have seen bedrooms that have a sliding door only rather then door... But I may be wrong... Re: Our Cottage Block Build North of the River, Perth WA 318Oct 02, 2013 10:47 pm Hi John I think it has to do with the overall air circulation requirements. Having said that we have a bedroom that passed through council etc with a bedroom without any window at all.
