I'm trying to determine the distance to the street from the house frontage for a design that I've been playing with on my own. I'm told that the frontage needs to be at least 6m from the street on average but any part of the house can be 3m from the street. I determined that my design is 6.12m based on the weighted average (sum of distance to street x width / total width). Can anyone please tell me if I'm doing this correctly? The plan is available at:

Measurements are in metres. Please excuse me for drawing this in MS Word!

We brought land in an estate and the garage has to be 6 metres from the edge of the property ( 8 meters from curb) and on a particular side of the house. It would depend on your particular council / Encumbrance Managers guidelines.
