Browse Forums Building A New House Re: V-Lam Hush Laminate Glazing 2Jun 11, 2012 11:16 am murphywei Anyone use V-Ham Hush glass door? I want to know it's worth to spend a one thousand dollar more to upgrade this sliding door for my Master room. How about the comfortable plus glass? If noise is important, just get a double glazed door, your ear won't tell the difference... and it may even be better. If it's a sliding door, they are not so easy to seal acoustically anyway. Don't use single glazed ComfortPlus, it will damage easily and is difficult to clean... plus it only slows RADIANT heat. Do you mean for sliding door the V-Ham Hush glass cannot make much difference than the normal glass? But double glazed door will get much better performance than V-Ham Hush? Thanks! Re: V-Lam Hush Laminate Glazing 5Jun 11, 2012 3:20 pm murphywei Hi ed, I just asked the local supplier they said the double glazed door cost about 3 times than V-Ham Hush glazed door. That's so expensive! Ridiculous, not from EcoClassic. Tell me your sizes and I will tell you our price tomorrow.... ask your builder for a price for standard clear laminated in similar thickness to the V-Lam they were offering (small difference in performance). Or just get thicker glass... Ed "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
