Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Baldivis build with Dale Alcock Homes - Update 541Oct 23, 2013 2:01 am Totally neglected this thread .... Will come back tomorrow and update with pics etc.. Front is still a bit of a sand pit - the extended winter has not helped with rendering/ painting planter out front but that's all done now so the landscaping will be full steam ahead now. Back is pretty much complete and looking great!!! Will be back with pics .. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Here's the planter and letterbox etc out front, finally all rendered and painted - Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We played around on photoshop with the different combinations of colors to match house render and mouldings and this was by far the best. Really love it and can't wait to plant it out and get the lawn etc in! Not long now thank god!!! We are going to put a black boy in the big planter at the end and also one behind the letterbox right in front of the theatre window. Thinking of kangaroo paws and maybe agaves and small grasses in centre of planter. Have our stainless steel letterbox fascia and it is stunning - 950 x 450 and we want to put that on last as a final finishing touch. Until then it's our $10 masters letterbox lol. Out back is pretty much done now so here's so pics: BBQ and grassed area - just needing the BBQ to be slotted in the top now and it's completely done. We chose frangipanis in the planters after much debate. The benchtops are solid granite black galaxy and have a stunning gold flecks through it in sunlight. Got them fitted for an absolute bargain so we couldn't resist as essa stone etc was not going to survive in the elements. We have the following designs to choose and are thinking either 'swirl' or 'cottesloe' (bottom right). Will be having it painted in black dulux weather guard and will be raised slightly off wall with a stainless riser kit and will put a lovely shadow on the wall during different parts of the day!!!
