No documents or paperwork about it & I have evidence photos to support it. There was no warning or sign on their tiles either when we chose it last year, so they can't apply to me since the problem arises just recently this year. Just pray that this won't affect us.. Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 162Sep 20, 2012 9:05 am I know they bought the waiver out due to all the problems, mainly as a result of not using first quality tiles. We didn't sign one either ( i thought all the big companies used it now) but I'm still not sure there is much you can do if they used first quality tiles as it is not a fault in the tile as such. Unfortunately it is a risk for everyone using polished porcelain Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 163Sep 21, 2012 2:11 pm Hi All, It took over 7 weeks after the handover for Wisdom to fix all the issues identified in the PCI. I had to call the SS almost everyday for the 7 weeks but it was keep on dragging without any completion date. Finally, I wrote an email to the housing manager with copying relavent parties and then the remaining issues were fixed in the matter of few days. Therefore, when you guys going to get the keys with remaining issues in the house make sure to negotiate the completion date. I was like most, was so existed move in and had a nightmare to get the remaining issues fixed. Worst is it will done in the convenience of the tradies but not yours. So if you cannot have someone waiting in the house whole day(s) for a traidie to turn up, it might be worth delaying the handover day. I expected W to clean the house properly before the handover but they haven't done that. SS said that what they do is a "Commercial Clean" but not a "Hotel Clean" and there were loads of dust and garbage inside the house and my whole family got sick just after moving in. If W had focus on these little things it would have been a nice experience moving into the new house. But unfortunately they thought its worth saving few bucks by using poor cleaners than give the customer good experience. cheers, Servicelocator Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 164Sep 21, 2012 7:36 pm Servicelocator, Thanks for your info. Can I ask, did you use a private independent inspector? How long from PCI to handover then? I'm angry because of their slowness to fix your outstanding issues... The cleaner apparently is an issue now. I'll mention this & will expect the same like display home. They can't do this after so many customers they got. They have to look after us, the customers ..they are big now because people's recommendation too.... If they keep doing this, I will not surprise if they will lose many potential customers soon... Hi willcres, Yes, I did use a private independent inspector and it was Howard Ryan. He was really good and he saved me over $2000 dollars which W charged me for a steel beam which was not existed. It took almost 2 weeks from PCI to handover and it took them over 5 weeks to fix the balcony rail after the handover. I think its better to sort out the cleaning issue now because when it's come to the handover time you won't have much time to sort these things out. In my case they have put all the garbage and and piles of dust and cement under the staircase and some other places. And the paint was in the grout and balustrades and many other places. I think W lost the care for the customer satisfaction with the sudden growth they experienced last couple of years and I am sure it will be faster the way down if they keep on doing it. cheers, Servicelocator Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 166Sep 28, 2012 4:10 pm Hi All , Today we accepted WH tender: D .Look forward to receive colour selection books to get my head around with the next stage. Fingers crossed Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 171Oct 05, 2012 2:53 pm Hey all, How long does it take for Wisdom to submit to council after contract sign? Its been 7 weeks for us still no progress. We are going through the CDC path and their excuse is that they're still waiting on reports (Hydraulic, Basix). Didn't think it would take that long. With this pace we won't start building till next year. Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 172Oct 05, 2012 3:02 pm This is what I worry me as well. There is a latest comment in ProductReview about WH which scares me a lot. Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 173Oct 05, 2012 3:04 pm Hi, As its CDC, there is no council involvement and the Private Certifier is the one who approves the plans. Thats why all the relevant reports are required upfront. Our staff will be incontact to advise progress of approval. Still waiting on the reports though but he assured me he will chase this up. I will let you know if it still is a problem Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 175Oct 05, 2012 7:22 pm BigJo This is what I worry me as well. There is a latest comment in ProductReview about WH which scares me a lot. Hi BigJo, i've read that review as well. I understand Wisdom is trying to fix the admin time issue. Lets just hope they can prove this by action and not just talk as per review. Btw goodluck on your build..hope everything works well for you Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 176Oct 07, 2012 6:59 pm HI Mtjiputra, Hope your job back in track very soon. Cheeers Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 177Oct 16, 2012 10:52 am We are building with wisdom homes, really feel that the communication is poor, havent been getting back to us on the timelines they state, and feel that we are getting the brush off whenever we contact the office. Up to now its been a slow grind, but at least the person we were dealing with was contactable, now its just a slow grind. Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 178Oct 16, 2012 11:32 am Hi Rosiebee, If you advise your job number we are happy to investigate for you? Also what has been advised to you that the cause of the delays are? Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 179Oct 30, 2012 8:12 am willcres Rosiebee, With my build, I took all builder's standard tiles. But there's extra cost for glue, laying different tiles sizes, laying mosaic / feature tiles & labour cost. Where r u building? Are you with W as well? Yes unfortunately, having the same problems everyone else is, truely over it; have nothing positive to say about this company Re: Anyone building with Wisdom Homes?? 180Oct 30, 2012 8:28 am WisdomHomes Hi Rosiebee, If you advise your job number we are happy to investigate for you? Also what has been advised to you that the cause of the delays are? Thank you its very distressing because we dont know whats going on trying to do everything that is requested of us and get things done within the time frame given as the commenement date which is the 31/10/12. But there's been so little communication and when we ring up and get hold of ***** everythings on track from our side have you done your tile and colour selection etc which we have done, expect the electrical and landscaping as no one has ever contacted us. I'm so stress and really hate this house, wish we'd never walked into that Wisom homes office. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
