We have decided to cool off with the purchase, still deciding which builder to go with and which house plan to choose for a small 10.5m block. However, the suggestion of visiting Coshum helps. We didn't know we can visit without appointment. W Re: Henley Homes Category 1 Bricks 5Feb 07, 2013 2:27 pm winnie Thanks. W We are most likely going to build with Henley, however we didn't like any of the category 1 bricks, but I've seen the Cat 1 at Carlisle as well and didn't like them either. If you want a red or a yellow/tan brick you are fine with Cat 1, we want a dark brown. We loved the "Hawthorn" brick, I think it was Austral, but it was Cat 5. but in Cat 2 there is Homestead Tan, which is very nice, and is a good compromise for us. We are prepared to pay the extra $600 for cat 2. We went to Austral's display centre and they gave us a list of a few houses that had used that brick so we could go see them and see what we thought. If you are on a 10.5m block and are building a single story house around 18-20Squares the extra for Cat 2 is likely to be much less than the $600 we are going to pay for a 28 Square house.
