Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 02, 2012 11:38 am Just like many people we have a house full of tiles. I hate the ideanof our beautiful tiles being ruined by dirty grout so before we move in I want to get in and seal all the grout. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to do this? What product did you use? What's the easiest way to apply it? How do you avoid leaving residue on the tiles? Ay other hints and tips? Don't hold me to that maybe it does more. I can't quiet remember. The instructions were simple. 1. Use on clean and dry tiles 2. Apply and leave for 15mins 3. Wipe over tiles with a cloth 4. Re-apply a second coat, leave for 15mins 5. Wipe over tiles again to remove any excess 6. Do not use area for 24hrs after application Re: Sealing Grout 5Jun 02, 2012 8:36 pm In our last house we put in white 600 x 600 tiles. We sealed the grout two ways. One was a spray on sealer that you could get from the tile store and one was a paint on sealer. I found that it does not stop it getting dirty, but it makes it easier to clean. I still had to get down on my hands and knees and clean the grout with a grout brush.
