Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 28, 2012 9:28 pm Just did the wall insulation (Earthwool R2.0 batts) over the last two days. Not sure I'd do that much again - or at least I'll be better prepared for the itch factor.
Don't know about anyone else, but found the job somewhat harder than expected, but I guess after covering 230 m2 of walls with the stuff by myself I might just be a bit fed up Please hold thumbs that they start the Gyprock tomorrow! I have 6 unopened packs of the Knauff EarthWool R2.0 Thermal and Acoustic insulation stuff still left, so if anyone is interested in taking it off my hands let me know. You can have them for free but if you want to make a "donation" for them would be much appreciated. Alternatively, do you think Bunnings would give me credit for them? Each pack is 430mm wide and covers 8.17 m2 and a thickness of 90mm (maximum for typical timber frame studs), so 6 of them will cover 49m2. I'm located in Moggill (Brisbane West). We have some left ove 5May 30, 2012 8:55 pm Indeed they (Bunnings) did take them back, no questions. Unfortunately I could only return 4 of the 6 packs this morning, because someone nicked 2 of them yesterday . Serves me right for leaving it on site . Initially thought the GypRock team may have moved them into the roof space after putting up the ceiling, trying to be helpful, but they aren't up there and nobody saw nothing. Thanks all! Re: Anyone want some insulation batts? (SORRY NOT ANY MORE) 6May 30, 2012 9:20 pm yeah theft on building sites must be a massive problem. I wonder what can be done about it? Hidden camera in the portaloo maybe? Found the answer. The recommended distance is .... 1 5989 I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done? Sounds like liquidity problems to me. Our builder did the same. Got hundreds of thousands of dollars of… 2 15413 |
