Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 26, 2012 7:01 pm We have never built before. Ours is a semi rural build so dont have scheme water. We have finished our earthworks and have heard back from the builder that the prep for the slab will start on friday. Nothing has been mentioned to us from the builder about when they will do the power and phone run which they have a PS amount for. Our water tank installation (which is not being done through the builder) starts on the same day. I have a strong feeling the builder has stipulated somewhere that they wont start until they have available water under pressure but that cant happen even if we have a full tank and pump ready to go as we dont have power to the site yet. So could someone please explain to me what the normal steps would be for a build like ours coz our builder hasnt explained it to us. Thanks. Re: Could someone please explain the steps for the construct 2May 26, 2012 10:41 pm I've done a few posts on my blog about constructions stages here: http://www.anewhouse.com.au/?cat=40. As far as the water supply goes as long as they have got access to some water I would have thought that would be OK so if you fill the tank that's probably enough.
