Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 26, 2012 12:26 pm When we renovated our kitchen last year we forgot to think about where the phone would go - it ended up on the wall near the dining room and looks horrible. I dont want my phone hanging on a wall in my beautiful new kitchen but not really sure where else to put it. Where did you put your main phone point? Cheers Re: Where did you put your phone? 2May 26, 2012 12:33 pm I didn't plan for a landline (phone ) because we are on a farm and the service is not worth the bother but even if I was in suburbia I don't think I would have one, do you need it nowdays with the good deals you get with mobile phones and it's just an added express having a landline into the house ( this is just my point of view) The only reason I can think of someone having one is if they need adsl to have the Internet ????? We chose to put the point in the WIP that way we can have the phone near the kitchen but not seen. Our wireless router will also be in the pantry as we don't have a separate study. Handset plugged into pp in dining room close to kitchen. Some things are worth waiting for. We hardly use ours now and are wasting money just having it connected!
