Im so used to a squishy apartment kitchen that everything else seems huge! Leighlou Hi Alt, I like your selections! Can I ask what colour your roof is? And what colour your render is going to be? looking good! Cheers, the roof is windspray, and the gutters are monument. The main render is shale grey. We wanted our render to be one colour and then have front and garage doors in a contrasting colour (windspray), but the developer guidelines said we had to have two render colours. So this is what we ended up with (I am not 100% sure I like it :/) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 23May 29, 2012 2:43 pm Ohhh I think that'll look great I am so excited to see it finished now as I have picked Windspray with Surfmist Gutter/Fascia/Windows/Door etc. and Milton Moon render (which is really close to Shale Grey) so your house is pretty much the same but with black trim instead of white! Like a glimpse into the future I like the way you think Alt Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 24May 29, 2012 2:58 pm If you think it is too much windspray mabye change the colour of the Garage Door..... maybe even a cedar or jarrah look garage door to break it all up Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 26May 30, 2012 5:04 pm Thankyou 8acon, the kitchen is my favourite part of the house. I am really looking forward to seeing it when the ceiling is installed Cheers Mary, we will run with it for a while then change it when the developer no longer cares about the estate. It might look better in real life. *crosses fingers* I would have loved to have done the portico clad in stacked stone to add a bit of texture but my partner hates stone Im thinking some red/pink strappy plants will brighten the front of the place up Off to visit the site today to check out a hump in the wall where the cavity sliding door meets the brickwork. Hopefully the plaster'er is a magician. Thats what you get for doing something out of the norm :/ Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 28May 31, 2012 9:51 am alt0160 Thankyou 8acon, the kitchen is my favourite part of the house. It looks more 'real' than a lot of the stone cladding I have seen. Nice choice! I cant wait to see photos of your place if you go down that route! Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 30Jun 01, 2012 2:25 pm I visited the house a couple of days ago to find the start of the ceilings. It was good to get a feel for what the different ceiling heighs. Here is the kitchen with its lower ceiling. I never noticed that the ceiling and lounge areas were different in the display home. I never noticed that the ceiling and lounge areas were different in the display home. I think this is fairly common as the living areas usually have the higher ceiling and the kitchen drops down to normal ceiling height. Our living area is 34c and our kitchen is 31c. Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 35Jun 08, 2012 6:39 pm karakarakara Hello Your house is looking great. I love the plan. I've seen the display home and really liked it. We built with Ventura (have been in our home for about 18 months now) and it was a good experience! Hello, and thankyou! So glad to hear you had a good experience and things are ok after 18 months. I loved the display home, they had a spa outside the theatre, it looked great until someone stole it. I could just imagine sitting in the spa watching the tv through open bifold windows .. shame my OH doesnt like spas! greenfish Another in awe of the size of your kitchen! Your selections are great, really looking forward to seeing your basins in situ they are really quite stunning. Hehe thanks, I have noticed that I am starting to get really annoyed with the lack of space in my apartment kitchen. Haha, I cant wait to see my basins either. They were due last week so I could take them to the cabinet makers on Monday, but for some reason their container was unloaded (Im not sure where) and they arent due to the end of the month! The company I have ordered the basins have managed to find one for me, so I can atleast take one to the cabinet makers so that they can cut the benchtops! At one point it was looking like I was going to have to borrow a different coloured basin. So on the upside my benchtops will be measured and cut, but on the downside I am not sure how my basins are going to be fitted. We have it our first real holdup, the tile store was unable to supply all of the tiles in one go. Our tiler doesnt want to take old stock incase there are colour variations, and I agree with him. New supply isnt due until early July. On the upside, cabinets are going in as we speak and the stone tops goes in on the 26th. My rogue basins are due instore at the end of the month, still a bit too late :/ I havent visited the site for a while, so we arent too sure what is going on. Will swing past on the weekend for a stickybeak through the windows. Re: WA: Building "The Rendezvous" with Ventura Homes 40Jun 17, 2012 1:15 pm *sniffle* visited the site and despite what the cabinet guys told me, no cabinets :/ Oh well, the spray painter has been through and undercoated everything. I got some nice pictures of our doors, really happy with the selections. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Double doors to the master bedroom.
