Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 41Jun 21, 2012 10:39 pm Plan looks great and congrats on settlement!!! Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 42Jun 27, 2012 12:39 pm Enelya, Thanks, yes i love that bit too, apprently its quite posh!!! woooooooo ha ha Well thats good to hear that somebody else spent so much changing the plan before pre-start, like you say if its a forever dream house, you have to have it the way you want it dont you! I just cant understand why they dont show the prices in the pre-start book surely it would save them at lot more time going through the prices, and means you can budget properly so annoying!!. I cant wait to go the tile shop, still havent been yet, but i'm not very good at just picking colours and designs in my head i have to see something and think oh i like that!! Have you got pics of the tiles you picked? i'll check on your thread anyway. Thanks for your info !! Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 43Jul 04, 2012 6:33 pm Hi Lucy, Any news or progress to report? Have you been to prestart yet? It's finally happening! These are the tiles we had priced up Over $3000 for the kitchen splash backs!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I love them, but love glass splashback more! We are having a gorgeous champagne colour called frothing mocha. Do you have a prestart date yet? Also, you can order laminex samples from their website if you find the ones in the tile shop hard to find what you want (i struggled.... they didn't seem logical in a nice order that i could find what i wanted!) we ended up changing our colours after we had selected them! Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 45Jul 09, 2012 6:21 pm Hi JJ's Well we signed contracts on Friday (although the plans havent been finalised) apparently this is to speed up the process, did anybody else do this? So we have been told pre-start will be in around 8 weeks time, so i'm happy with that, sounds like a long time but trying to pick colours is provding harder than i thought!!! Enelya Woooo i like those, very nice, we havent got a date yet but expected in around 8 weeks, so gives up plently of time, finally got round to the tile shops, and it was even harder than i thought, its hard to choose what goes with what, without sort of seeing it in front of me or on a picture and staying yes that goes with that, and that will go with that. Anybody else struggle with this, or i am just not a designy person ha ha. Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 46Jul 09, 2012 6:52 pm First trip to tile shop I was so excited I nearly peed lol And we made selections. But then went back and changed them :O Glad we did! I look at the first colour and am like omg! That's why having so long before prestart is awesome. You have plenty of time to mull over it! We signed our contract after prestart do they could finalize prestart $$$. However I think they get contracts done early for people who have to have finance sorted quickly for house and land packages maybe. We already own the block so our loan is just for house so there was no time constraints Except for my partner wanting to resign fro His job but having to wait until finance approved... But that's a whole other saga! Jen Building with HomeGroupWA (started as Scott Park Homes ) - Grand Wisteria Check out my Build Thread!! Time line on P1. Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 47Jul 10, 2012 1:31 pm Ha ha ha, its very exicting!!! Yep its ace you get so long, need to fill out the forms in there as well, not really read them through properly, yep i thought it was strange, coz we already own the land to, but they said its a new thing they are doing to speed up the whole process, anything that speeds up the process i'm happy with ha. Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 48Jul 23, 2012 5:05 pm Hi Just an update we due to get a pre-start meeting date in around 4 weeks, so its moving along very quickly, we are halfway through the book and have filled most of it now. We have picked a kitchen, we are going for black cupboards and overhead, white long regular tiles for splashback and Q-Stone White benchstops. Also picked the bathroom tiles as well but cant remember the name, feeling much better now i've chosen 80% of things, now i feel more exicting. How is everybody's going? x Re: Scott Park or Celebration Homes? 49Jan 15, 2013 3:42 pm Lucy, we are building the monte carlo with changes too.. very similar still.. are you still active? hows the progress.. seeing as i ddint have a display to go through was hoping i could see what its like through the pics..
