Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 22, 2012 7:07 pm Hi everyone - well I have exhausted myself with trying to work out what colour to paint our home which is just about to be constructed by Plantation Homes. It is a single storey and the roof, gutter and facia is dune, with 3 gables (which we are painting surfmist, with dune barge). The front of the house is fairly plain, and apart from the render paint colour, the only other colour is the garage door in surfmist, and 4 windows (also in surfmist), oh and a timber door. We have spent a small fortune on sample pots and have tried dulux - beige royal, calf skin, mudpack, heiffer and also dune half strength. We have also had a sample pot of Bristol - Tinderboy made up in the dulux paint, as it is used on a number of Plantation Homes displays with surfmist garage doors (although they have surfmist roofs, not dune). We are just absolutely at our wits ends in trying to decide a colour. Therefore if anyone has done a dune roof with the dune gutters etc, could you PLEASE let me know what colour render you chose, and if not too much trouble, a pic of it? I'm really hoping someone will help us make a decision, as we are just going round and round in circles and our builder needs and answer and we just can't decide! Thanks in advance!
