Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 21, 2012 8:48 am Hi everyone, We've been reading the forum for a bit and just recently joined. We are first time builders and a little overwhelmed with everything you have to be across. We were hoping for some answers regarding our contract. We have just recently signed our contract and are currently in our 5 day cooling off period and have since been notified by our BC that they will be sending out a post contract variation for the Ducted Vacuuming system we asked for. The plans for the DV are in the contract which we all signed, the documents I signed at our appointment including the DV are shown in the online portal to be included however the price was left out of the contract itself so I'm wondering if they are actually able to do this given that we've all already signed the contract with the DV plans and quote included. So far we've been less than impressed with the service but just accepted that it was part of the building process and in the end as long as the building was done right we'd accept the service but after getting this email - along with many other small, but frustrating issues, we're starting to consider whether we chose the right builder. If anyone can advise if they've had similar issues and whether we have the right to expect them to wear the cost for their omission it would be appreciated. For reference, this is the Austlii reference. My take on this is, that they would be breaking the law denying access to a homeowner in Victoria, or their agent from having… 1 9098 You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 16568 |
