Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 18, 2012 10:37 am We are nearly at contract stage and need to make a final decision on the colour of the render to the front of the house. What we have chosen so far is Bricks - Selkirk Coastal Stone http://s1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh6 ... G_0651.jpg Roof - Woodland Grey Gutters - Woodland Grey Fascia - Shale Grey Garage Door - Shale Grey Render - Surfmist I am wondering if the surfmist is too light and we need to go with a darker grey/brown colour Any thoughts would be appreciated Re: What colour render for the our bricks 2May 18, 2012 12:16 pm Why not surfmist as it will blend well with your current selections. But if you want to be a bit more daring, Match up a colour with that deep colour in the brick. Have you got a sample brick? Just take it down to Bunnings, select the colour cards that you have already got, woodland grey and Shale Grey and match up the brick in the same tonal values. Even could go the woodland grey as the render. Maybe the woodland grey or brick feature. What is your brick called? I wanted a grey look but had to draw the line at upgrading the brick so chose one with grey in it to try to draw it out with the roof and render. If that makes sense Cheers Re: What colour render for the our bricks 8May 18, 2012 1:15 pm Sounds nice. Im just worried the surfmist and shale grey will be too stark against the brick. We are thinking of doing a woodland grey garage door also. Our front door is Red Letter Day which is a red front door. Re: What colour render for the our bricks 9May 18, 2012 1:31 pm Have you tried here? They have your bricks and colours. I think the render colour Raku looks great with everything. Keep in mind that the bricks look diff on the computer. Best to take it to bunnings to get matched up there.
