Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 4May 16, 2012 3:09 pm I just saw that master then Annette's post....whoooa!! Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 5May 16, 2012 5:29 pm Thanks all, we tried to replicate a number of the design elements at our current WBN home which is single level into a 2 storey which I think we've managed to achieve. Also wanted to segment kids areas away from the main living. @Mclaren I think we can manage the hike to loo from the bedroom at night Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 6May 16, 2012 9:05 pm I have many goals in life but won't list them all One is to buy Ms Echo a new Audi some day and another is to build a WBN home. The Sundowner or something similar would do. And south Perth or como would be awesome, even lathlain be fine with me. Thanks Echo, nice goals The Sundowner is great home, our current place was based on the old Penninsula they had in Maylands. fyi a VW is good Audi compromise, basically the same car yet less $$! I've got a Golf and love it! Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 8May 16, 2012 11:52 pm I love your plan..... Your elevation is looking funky also...... I am very familiar with that part of South Perth.... Love it..... Cant wait to see it all come together Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 9Mar 09, 2013 5:25 pm Hi Shakespeare, I'm interested in an update on your build, as WBN is currently top of our shortlist for choosing a builder. How is everything progressing? http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 10Mar 11, 2013 11:45 pm Hello housebythewater, apologies for the lack of updates, I'll try to summarise below however Webbies have been exceptionally good and very helpful along the way. The build has progressed smoothly with no dramas to date. The pad was laid mid July 2012 and we should be at lock up next week. Effectively were advised a month or so back that this would be a 50 week build, so looking at June hopefully. Very happy with build quality and progress they have made, all minor issues were recitified immediately (only incorrect glass in one room and power point cut out a little higher than it should have been) Let me know if you need more information Cheers Chris Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 11Mar 12, 2013 8:42 am Thanks for the info. Sounds like a very good experience so far. Who picked up the "minor issues"? (We may not always be in the country to be able to check progress ourselves.) I look forward to your future updates. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: shakespeare's build - South Perth WA 12Mar 12, 2013 11:01 am housebythewater Thanks for the info. You're welcome. Our building liaison person assisted with all enquiries usually by email and with a reasonable quick response. I only ever spoke to the building supervisor on two occassions. This acutally worked well for me as I've been quite busy with work over the last year or so. I'll take some pictures and post some updates soon. Well these guys are not looking good... I sent them a written enquiry last week and they have not yet replied.
