Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 15, 2012 4:37 pm Hi We are drawing plans for a new house and plan to add an extra ensuite, so instead of 1 Master Room, we want to have 2 Master Rooms. Any ideas on how much would it cost to add another basic ensuite i.e. Shower, WC and Vanity. Thanks Nitin Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 3May 15, 2012 8:21 pm $4,500 for us plus upgrades to tiles, toilet, basin, & tapware We're using ours as a permanent Guest bedroom Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 5May 17, 2012 10:02 pm Our builder has quoted $16k to add an upstairs ensuite and rejig the rooms. I thought that it wa a little high and queried it. Being upstairs and not above downstairs wet areas may make a diff. Hmmm yet another item to battle with. I am running out of steam to be honest 12 mths of to and fro over variation costs. I won't sign til I am happy as I don't want pressure at pre start. Keen to see what others say Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 6May 17, 2012 10:06 pm Our is an upstairs addition Mark but it is above our Master ensuite which probably helps. Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 7May 17, 2012 10:12 pm Hmmm it's still 30% above the top end Gogo said. Would not surprise me that I am being hosed. Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 9May 17, 2012 10:24 pm Gogo is your upstairs brick. Would that make such a diff?? No thread hijack intended Ciao Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 10May 17, 2012 10:39 pm Ours got taken from space in the upstairs study so there wasn't an "addition" in length to the house. Our upstairs is all brick. Re: How much does it cost too add an extra ensuite 12May 25, 2012 2:54 pm Thanks for the update.........we got quoted $7k, $8K, $5K and $3K..........what a variation from different builders.........I guess I will finally choose one that gives the overall best deal inclusive of the specs......... Cheers Nitin Approvals are covered in the cost we are paying to the pool company. The only thing stated in our home build contract for the additional cost is engineering support. … 3 1215 if i have understood your dimensions correctly my suggestions include using the smallest toilet and wall hung handbasin eg Caroma Urbane with in wall cistern, small wall… 1 6569 The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place.
