Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 12, 2008 9:18 am we are going to build with CARLISLE HOMES!! yay!!
if u guys can recall, Carlisle Homes had a display home called the PROVENCE in narre warren south. we were going to build that, until the sales guy told us that there would be new displays opening in lyndhurst (melington) very soon. so we went there. we liked the courtyard 35, and paid the deposit. 2 weeks later, we didnt want to build that, and got a refund. since then, they've now opened two new display centres in the western areas. now, we are sure to be building!! LMAO! we went to caroline springs the other day, and LOVE THE ATLANTIQUE MK 2. we paid the deposit, and we are leaving it still until they open the ATLANTIQUE MK 2 in lyndhurst in april. complicated huh?? lol. and lucky enough, we got there the day before the price went up!!! i cannot wait to build with carlisle homes!! we chose the free caesar stone benchtops for the promotion. check out the house: http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/atlantique2.html keep clicking MORE IMAGES until u see the second house.. thats ours!! cant wait.. anyone ot any advice or feedback?/ have u built with carlisle home before? Re: CARLISLE HOMES - FINALLY BUILDING! 2Mar 12, 2008 9:40 am Hi andrew.
Welcome to the forum...We were going to build the Atlantique too but the sales lady at the Camden Green display told us we couldn't change the plan!!! We wanted to add on a study and extend the garage to a triple....Obviously that person was wrong, because afterwards we were told they could...but it cost them a sale....by the time we found that out, we had signed elsewhere. Can't wait to see the Mk II version!!!! Seems litke Lyndhurst is going to be the new display area in the Sth East!!! Andrew, there has been lots of discussions re: Carlisle homes on the forun. Try doing a search in the discussion tools area on Carlisle Homes or Carlisle. A couple of the forum members have built or are currently building with them. BTW, have you considered getting independant inspections done during the build???? Very good investment...not just with Carlisle but anyone building a new home in my opinion!!! Nice to hear you got in and took advantage before the pricing went up!!! Welcome again, you'll find our members a wealth of information on here...word of warning though???? This forum can be addictive!! Re: CARLISLE HOMES - FINALLY BUILDING! 3Mar 12, 2008 2:14 pm thanks for the reply! i went on ur blog.. wat house are u building?? Re: CARLISLE HOMES - FINALLY BUILDING! 4Mar 12, 2008 2:56 pm Hi Andrew,
I'm building the Atlantique in Pt Cook at the moment. Very early stages but all going fine so far. We have a slab and the frame is due to be started this week. I have been through the Atlantique Mk 2 in Tarneit and it is lovely. Only saw it after signing contracts but was quite relieved that there aren't huge differences from the original. We also took the caesar stone benchtop option. We didn't make a lot of changes, we increased the alfresco and made the laundry a bit bigger, reducing the home theatre which we will use as a study. The rumpus will be used as the home theatre instead. Where are you building? Hope to compare notes as we go along. Claire hello 5Mar 12, 2008 3:29 pm we are building in narre warren south
we are converting the home theatre to a study as well! we are also going to extend the island bench to the end of the wall - the bifold door will be right next to it, like in the display.. hope it turns out good Re: CARLISLE HOMES - FINALLY BUILDING! 6Mar 12, 2008 4:11 pm **Phoenix** A couple of the forum members have built or are currently building with them. .... Hey, that's ME!!! To be honest, we have had a very smooth run (so far) with Carlisle. We are building the Bordeaux 40 (see our blog) which the display house is in Cranbourne Nth. Love the Atlantique too so great choice. We had the free flooring included with our package at the time of signing the contract (saving of around $6 - $8 K from memory) which was fantastic. Also went for the Caeserstone benchtops. Our final inspection is next Tuesday & hopefully handover will be the following week. Been very slack updating our Blog, but promise to do it soon with heaps more pics. PM me if you want to know anything else about them & our progress up until now. BTW... Welcome to the forum. Cheers, Mike. Hi Andrew, we're building the Cottesloe with H3nley. BUT we have gone for just about every structural upgrade there is...larger ensuite, larger theatre/dining, larger alfresco, larger garage and a different facade so that it actually doesn't look like a Cottesloe at all. I won't go into the other upgrades/options we selected...but there was a few.... Even the other H3nley site supervisors don't pick what house it is???? Which is good...keeps them all guessing. It's 36.6 sq's in size so comparable with the Atlantique in size. We're building in The Chase, so not too far away from Narre Warren Sth. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Andrew, are you looking at starting up a blog too??? reply 8Mar 12, 2008 5:28 pm probably not.. we are too busy i dont have time to do a blog!
the original cottesloe is a lot smaller isnt it? Re: ? 10Mar 12, 2008 5:43 pm andrew_123 how much did it cost extra for all the upgrades? Andrew, due to our confidentiality agreement i can't disclose the specifics of our contract but the basic home of 29 sq's was $159K but currently its $165 so we saved a bit there. We added another 40% to that price in site costs and upgrades which also included refridgerated air con to 12 points and the extra 7.6 squares. We are doing the flooring ourselves after handover. Hello, Whats peoples current experience building with Carlisle, specifically in SouthEast Melbourne? We are currently building in SE Melbourne and finding that quality… 0 9195 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37085 Ask for references and speak to them.
