Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 12, 2012 10:20 pm Hi, I am building a house at Point Cook, and my parents did the color selection, at that time, none of us knew there is such a thing: FC infills. We all thought the thing above windows would be bricks. Now after the lock-up stage, I found the boards above side windows are FC infills, and we originally selected the color: Colorbond Headland for it, I myself thought my parents chose that color by mistake as they did not know the fact, and I did a search in this forum and saw someone suggested the same color as the gutter, so I changed it with the builder to the same color as the gutter which is Colorbond Ironstone, and the builder said this kind of change usually cost $750, but did me an exception for no charge. When I told my parents about this change, they still prefer the previous color, now I wrote a letter to my builder, asking if it is possible to change it back for free, if that is not possible, we need to go with Ironstone, but I wonder if it is possible to repaint it to other colors later? Here is the photo(unpainted): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We used to choose Headland which is the same color as the down-pipe, now it is changed to the same color as the gutter(Ironstone).
