Hi Everyone,
I am sure this is not a new problem that I am putting in here and would have been discussed numerous times, which precisely why I need some help from the fellow members to show 'me the light', it seems a tunnel with no end so far. Anyways, coming to the point
Issue
I have recently bought a property in Mitcham, VIC (whitehorse council) and it is corner block. Clean slate, the current house has been demolished and there are no trees on it, the idea is to put a new single story house facing the shorter side (width). The existing crossover is on the length of the house. Now the problem is that there is a paper bark tree on the nature strip on the front of the block, the council looked at it and said that they cannot remove the tree (being a mature one) and also they would not allow me to put a crossover on the other end as it is a corner block (some traffic rules)
This pretty much stuffs my plans. I have already selected Montrose from Carlisle to be built there but with this issue , everything goes for a toss. I was wondering if any of you have gone through a similar issue and was there any solution or way out of this? Or am I fighting a losing battle with the council, mind you I was ready to pay for the removal as well, so far the answer has been a verbal No
Is it possible to put crossovers in the corner?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
