It looks like timber and I really quite like it and the basins look smick too. Cheers Janet Thanks Janet, yep it's laminate. New Age Oak. I'm thrilled with how it's coming up - starting to look more like a home, and less like a construction site! Carmel Hey BN why don't you like your vanity tops? Not quite sure what it is. When I saw this on the colour board, I knew from the get-go that it was the one selection I wasn't a fan of. Now seeing it for real, my instincts are confirmed. Just not what I would pick to go in there. Hoping that once the rooms are complete (mirrors, paint, decor), they will tie in much better. At the moment I see them and think 'meh'. Carpenter back on Wednesday to finish fascia. Apparently someone will be onsite tomorrow too (painter?), and fit offs will happen around him. All rooms & garage now have first coat of paint done. When do they take the bin, dunny & fencing away? They are on fire! Re: bubblynutter's SFive.2 - Fitoffs & rendered 666Oct 25, 2012 7:26 am Was out on site yesterday just as two young cuties finished installing the heating system. Nothing else appears to have been done, but I'll be going out there again today to show a friend through, so curious to see who is on site! SS is supposed to be letting me know when the sparky is on site so I can take him some lights to install, but I haven't heard boo after several follow ups. Hoping he doesn't turn up on the two days I can't get to the site!! Also not happy with having to go out there every day just in case I miss him. Will follow up with admin today - he is supposed to finish electrics some time before next Friday. After my visit yesterday around 1pm, the electrical fitoff has been completed - we have light switches, power points, tv points, lights, light bulbs, smoke alarms. Plus the bricks were being cleaned as I was there, the tapware was done, the toilets were almost finished, the shower screens were installed, and I ran into the SS! I got some fresh dates from him: This week: plumbing complete, painter back on site for final coat Next week: external painting, eaves to be completed, splashback & caesarstone, initial clean internal & external Wednesday 7th November: Carpets. SS indicated PCI will be in 3 weeks time. If we are happy with everything, 5 days from then till keys. Pics later tonight. Booked the removalist today with a tentative date - they understand it needs to be flexible. Will have to start arranging tentative dates on our furniture that has been ordered, and the removalists for my rather large fish tank. Oh, and SS said he would put a foot up their concreter's a$$ for not calling me back yet. Hopefully we will only be without a driveway for 2 weeks post-move.
