Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 07, 2012 9:22 pm Hi everyone, really need your help, double minded about the colour scheme as I have colour appointment on Monday
Roof: Dune, colorbond Gutters: Dune Fascia: Surfmist Downpipes: Surfmist Brick: PGH Sorbetto (Grey) http://www.pghclay.com.au/Uploads/Brick ... to-pop.jpg Garage: Timber, window frames: Surmist Not render. can you please tell me if the colours go and any suggestions. Thank you Farhan Re: Please Help, Outdoor colour 2May 07, 2012 9:40 pm It sounds good except for the surfmist downpipes. Surely you would want to minimize the look of them, not make them stand out? Re: Please Help, Outdoor colour 3May 07, 2012 9:50 pm Good idea mate what do you reckon what color of the downpipes would be , what about all dune except surfmist facia or any othet idea Re: Please Help, Outdoor colour 4May 07, 2012 11:42 pm Usually the painter will match the downpipes to the brick colour.... The less you see them the better. Do you have a photo of the facade you can post? Windspray also looks good with dune but it really depends on the overall look you want to achieve. If you want to experiment with a few slightly different ideas, try different combos on envisage or the colourbond site Here's the links: http://www.studiom.com.au/envisage http://colorbond.autech.com.au/onlinevi ... esidential Re: Please Help, Outdoor colour 6May 08, 2012 10:21 am Here is the facade but it will not be rendered and have face bricks http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t49 ... edia_share I would like to go for light roof colour due to thermal issues, What is the general rule about gutter/facia/down pipes/eaves, should they match each other or contrast to roof, It is my first home so have no idea how all hanged together. In fact I need two colour scheme dark roof colour scheme and light rof colour scheme which one will look nice I would go for this. Thanks guys Re: Please Help, Outdoor colour 7May 08, 2012 1:39 pm You could do with some render on that facade just to add some interest. Downpipes usually match the brick or render it's against. Most people want to hide them as they're a bit ugly. I like to see gutters match the roof and fascia compliment the brick/render or match the windows. The posts on the balcony is another feature. Garage and front door colours are also important. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3268 Thanks for letting us know. The programmer will have a look at this later today. 2 6685 |
