I am just wanting to know if you are able to negotiate on a block of land from a developer (stockland) the same as you can a private sale. I guess if you don't have to pay more why would you. I thought maybe you might have bargaining power if there was a few blocks left and they wanted to sell them to release the next stage.

Thankyou Virgin Builder for your advise. I will check out the books. Your right . I just didn't want to look dumb but I guess like you said the worst they can say is no. Will do some reading first. Thanks again.

Like it was said earlier all you can do is ask, we are building in Lakeside Pakenham a Delfin Estate and being new into the game we thought it can't hurt to ask and they gave us a $5000 rebate on the block, after that we thought that was pretty easy and also asked the builder and they gave us a reduction on our base price which everyone told me the builder will not reduce their price at all.
