We're building with Orbit, and at first, the girl we were talking to would reply to emails within two days, but since we've put down the deposit and booked our colour selection, she has taken up to two weeks to reply to anything. We waited for two weeks to find out how much it would cost to install a large sliding window to our living area, only to find out yesterday that they can't do that, and we either have to have a smaller window or the large window with an awning instead of a slide. Our colour selection is Monday, and any changes made after that cost $1000, so we pretty much had to decide overnight if we would go with the awning or the smaller window. We assumed they'd drop back a bit once we committed, but we were surprised at exactly how bad that was. Is this a sign of things to come? Or once we get handballed to our site supervisor, will things change? Our land doesn't title until October, so we're assuming we won't hear from anyone until then, but once we get there, I'm sure we're going to be anxious to know what's going on.
