Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 02, 2012 11:06 pm Hi all, We are looking at building with Dechellis - and are considering supplying our own appliances as it appears to be cheaper. can anyone give me any ideas or thoughts about this? Has anyone built with Dechellis and supplied their own appliances and did you get charged by Dechellis for fitting of the appliances? Or do you think it is better to just go with the builder? any comments would be appreciated. Thanks so much Re: Supplying our own appliances - building in SA 2May 02, 2012 11:19 pm Hi LynneY, We built with Dechellis and we supplied our freestanding electric oven with gas top and we got a rebate of $2500 from the contract price and dechellis installed it for us for free so i think you can negotiate with your sales consultant Built the Monaco By Dechellis / SA https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49855 Slab: 07/11/2011 Handover: 23/04/2012 Re: Supplying our own appliances - building in SA 3May 03, 2012 9:56 am Hi JamieandGhie, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT! I actually did have a look at your thread. We are loving the Monaco. Your home is lovely. We love the openess of the Monaco too but are still juggling between 2 builders but it depends on how good Dechellis is to us. But the info you have provided below is of huge help and I will be negotiating with them! We are looking at going with a freestanding stove too - like the one you have. What brand is yours? Might even be identical? Did you go with the pull out rangehood from them or did you supply your own? What did the $2.5K rebate include? Did you go with their microwave and trim kit? Thanks so much again L Re: Supplying our own appliances - building in SA 5May 03, 2012 12:29 pm LynneY Hi JamieandGhie, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT! I actually did have a look at your thread. Thanks so much again L We have the same brand Euro as Dechellis quoted for us thats why we asked them if we will use our own how much rebate we can get so Sandy our consultant said $2500 and they will install for us so we find it reasonable. yes we got the pull out rangehood from them. We got the same microwave provision but we paid for the powerpoint provision as it is not included in the electrical plan.
