For us it was $5,600. Ours is a large house though, so might be cheaper on a smaller house. Re: Bushfire 12.5bal cost 24Sep 30, 2012 9:13 pm part of the issue is design. a lot depends on how the house is designed and built. naturally builders will handle the process differently but it is complex and most dont know because they dont read the australian standard. leighton at clark new homes Re: Bushfire 12.5bal cost 25Sep 30, 2012 9:30 pm leighton part of the issue is design. a lot depends on how the house is designed and built. naturally builders will handle the process differently but it is complex and most dont know because they dont read the australian standard. leighton at clark new homes Is your criticism of other builders here and in your other posts meant to attract business? Re: Bushfire 12.5bal cost 27Oct 04, 2012 4:43 am that is right, my point is that this is all quite confused. the reason is not that builders dont know the standards, this comment applies to surveyors inspectors and consumers. but i am also saying that design is quite important. the materials that you use and the design system make big differences and make it hard to compare apples for apples leighton clark new homes. i identify myself so no-one can say that i dont. Re: Bushfire 12.5bal cost 28Oct 04, 2012 8:44 am Agree also with your point leighton about surveyors/inspectors. As a consumer I expect these people to know to help but they just don't...yet, hopefully! 7 11873 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 36896 Fair Trading can issue orders to rectify and complete but once the matter goes to NCAT these orders are automatically vacated.
