Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 02, 2012 10:12 am had our prestart with RI yesterday....really please with how it all went. got a nice lunch, raided the lolly/chocolate bowl - which she said dont worry it happens all the time.... the worst part was getting to the osb park office - OMG the freeway was a nightmare - took us 2 1/2 hours.....to find out when we got there that they only just realized we could have gone to the bunbury office.....oh well never mind. had a really great prestart girl. and only spent extra $3800 - $1000 of which was on the electrics....i dont think that their upgrade costs for some things are too bad. obviously there are some things we will do later but overall got most of what we wanted done. also while we were there, got a phone call from our earthworks guy [we are arranging this ourselves] and his quote is $7900 which includes the engineers compaction certificate. so bonus with that. after weeks of stressing over colour choices - and changing my mind umpteen times, i am now really happy with them all and actually feel alot more relaxed about it all. just wait now for full $$$$ approval and council building license and hopefully we will be ready to go....
