Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 30, 2012 9:16 pm Hi So we have built before and are building again. I have always found it very helpful on this forum and love to stalk everyone else's builds, so it only fair that I share mine. Pre start completed today with Redink, in and out in 4 hours, i thought that was pretty good Lovely sandwhiches provided, coffee way great and my favourite bottled juices were available for me to help myself to The estimator was working when I went in for Prestart today so all my pricing was done there and then, great !! now just a couple of weeks to get the redone plans and addenda back. I must say everyone at Redink has been fantastic, efficient and helpful, the only thing I can actually fault them on at this point is the wrong windows on the first draft plan, and thats not really a big deal if you see the floor plan we started with and then ended up with, we did make the sales consultant earn his money. If someone can tell me how to post my plans from a JDF document i shall post them up - i am not intelligent enough to know how to do it. This is the front elevation (first draft with brick, now full render) though Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and our floor plan !! - this is the only way i can figure out how to get a picture from the PDF to post , unless someone else can tell me how to other than a screen shot Below are are colours and the main big items. We got a great credit back for all the standard tiling that we deleted, as we are doing the tiling ourself and providing the tiler, i am in love with my tiles though and its amazing how good a price you can get for rectified tiles compared to what the builder charges you for them. We will also do our own aggregate concrete driveway once we have the keys, not something you want the builder to do either, but it is good for a quiet laugh to yourself when you ask for the price just to see Building again . . with Redink Pre-start 04/12 Keys - 03/13 Finishing off. . . Prestart 3May 01, 2012 1:20 am There is a "house of ceramics" tile shop in Mt Hawthorn, on Scarborough Beach Road. We have paid $44sqm for house 300x300 floor and 600x400 wall tiles, they are the same finish and rectified, out of Italy, however i found that all of their prices of their tiles were very good in there and everything is great quality, extreemly helpful as well. Ill post picture of my tiles when i get them off of my camera. Building again . . with Redink Pre-start 04/12 Keys - 03/13 Finishing off. . . Prestart 7May 01, 2012 7:34 pm I don't comment much on this stuff cos I am a male and therefore unable to have an opinion on girly stuff. But looking good I see a lot of stuff Ms Echo chose that is similar to yours, not a tap in the house that is not a mixer or a lever was our goal, the only spindal type taps are for the garden. OK so you had the one , but nice floor drains. Keep up the good work . May your build be a smooth ride. Floorplan /Pres 15May 12, 2012 7:06 pm Absolutley love your home plan was it a custom design or did you work off one of redinks special home designs where you can make as many changes as you want. All of your choices are great very good taste. Interested to know as we looked at redink to build a house for us in geraldton but couldn't find a design that wouldn't break the bank as very expensive up there to build. You have to add around $70k more over perth prices before you up spec anything. Would love you to pm me a rough price for your plan as it would most definatley suit our block as we have ocean views from the rear and want the triple car garage as well as alfresco across the rear to, as your plan is. Floorplan /Pres 20May 16, 2012 2:48 pm There are 2 stores...you could have one for clothes!! Building Standards; Getting It Right! Don't think they are designed for double brick. WA has a particular way of building and unfortunately that's the way a large amount of sills are finished. 3 7014 I couldn't attached the photo for some reason.
