Out surfmist roof works great.. I have just moved in and today was 29 degrees in Sydney and inside our house was a nice 19c all day. I am very happy having chosen surfmist with upgraded sarking. I don't have air con yet, its coming on Monday. Its amazing I was comfortable in a track suit inside whereas outside it was definitely tshirt weather. Re: Whats the problem with a light coloured roof - eg surfmi 70Sep 09, 2013 4:33 pm Thanks for the feedback. We're looking at moving in to our house with surfmist roof in the next month or two so good to hear your feedback. Do you have whirly birds? Re: Whats the problem with a light coloured roof - eg surfmi 71Sep 09, 2013 4:40 pm Nope no whirlybirds. Re: Whats the problem with a light coloured roof - eg surfmi 72Sep 09, 2013 6:25 pm We have a surfmist roof and we are really disappointed with the look of it on the south side. We approach our house from a slope towards the southside of the house (which is the front) and we can see the roof has turned green in winter. We have only been in for 12 months and it already needs cleaning. beginning to wish we had gone dark grey now.... Our house is high on our block so you can't really see the roof except from a distance. I agree that would make a difference. Re: Whats the problem with a light coloured roof - eg surfmi 74Sep 09, 2013 6:54 pm Did you go surfmist? (sorry - havent read the whole of this thread!) Yes, shame for us as so love surfmist. Our southern face has no problems but is never in shade-so I'm wondering if that's a factor? It is nor too dark. The roof has extra insulation and sarking, the windows have smart glass and we have positioned the house off on an angle for best winter and summer sun through the main windows onto our concrete floor. We got the six start rating easily and I am excited to see just how it is for summer and winter when it is built. I think Jasper was the perfect colour for our home and didn't want to go lighter or darker. Thank you so much. We ended going with the terrain that’s part of our brick. 2 10406 We're trying to decide on interior colours for a new build we have surfmist window frames and spotted gum floors throughout the house I'm trying to picture how Casper… 0 6498 6 18022 |
