Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 24, 2012 12:54 pm Hi, I am struggling with site costs at the moment with Simonds. I have paid a deposit on a block in which site costs are fixed at $12,000 and have since discovered the crossover is in the wrong location for my design and the developer wont move it and the council is hesistant to look at moving it. I have asked to switch to the block directly behind which is the exact same size but simonds wont fix price as they say it is the last block in this area, Carrum Downs, that they are fix pricing site costs. Should i take the risk of no fix site costs on the block directly behind or stick with a block that doesnt suite my house. Regards, Matt Re: Site Costs 2Apr 24, 2012 1:14 pm Why not just pay someone to put in a new kurb and channel? Cost us $165 for permit, and $560 for concrete. If you do not know a concreter with PL insurance then it would be about 2k for new kerb and channel AND crossover. Re: Site Costs 3Apr 24, 2012 1:18 pm I agree if you are worried about taking the risk of using a different block, then it would probably be the cheaper option to get a new crossover made. you don't want to build your house and then be unhappy because of such a minor thing. I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13106 Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 15954 Henley should give you some indication of site costs.
