Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2012 3:25 pm I was wondering how expensive hebel is to build with? We have our first quote back from Sarah Homes, $20k for hebel. Does that sound about right? Thats not to gropund level as we are building the house on poles/stilts. Thats just the house, which isnt huge. Only 162sqm. Footings and poles/stilts to 2.4 metres at the back of the house and .6metres at the front was $40k! That didtn include the decking, which is 35sqm at the back and 15 sqm at the front of the house. That cam in at $10k for the back and $5k for the front. Does this sound right? It seems like a lot of money when there is no cut or fill required. Any advice would be really helpful. My last build was a complete fill worth $20k, and that was a five years ago now, so Im a bit out of the loop Re: Building with hebel on poles 2Apr 20, 2012 4:48 pm For me to upgrade to Hebel on a 21sq home (ie, about 4sq bigger than yours) it's costing me ~$4500. This is discounted from the usual $8000+. Building a Delta 21 at Craigieburn - http://homeofzero.blogspot.com.au/ Deposit: 26/02. Contract: 22/05. Settlement: 29/05. Site start: 18/10. I was looking at different options for a fence for my build and Hebel PowerFence seemed like a good option (one of the criteria was a solid wall look). However, I don't… 0 5902 1 6631 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6191 |
