Hi guys
Hoping to get some help here, after our appointment with M, one thing I remember was the sales consultant stating to be careful not to buy a home with any easements..
Now at the time I was to embarassed to say i didn't know what an easement was ( ) and have since googled it and found it it can be many things uch as; shared driveways, gas/utility lines, powerpoles etc
We are looking at buying an old house in an established area and knocking it down, my question is how would I know if there was any easements on the property b4 buying? Does the real estate have this sort of information? The council?
I know certain easements (ie powerpoles) would be noticeable to the eye, but what about the others...M did state that they can build if there is an easement at the back of the property but definatly not at the side.
Thanks for any help everyone
Cheers
Belinda
